Seminar on PSA Updates
Greetings!We will have a Seminar on PSA Updates on November 12, 2010 (Friday), 8:00 A.M. TO 5:00 P.M. at the Sacred Heart Center Social Hall, D. Jakosalem St. Cebu City. We have resource speakers from Makati.Participants can earn CPE units for this seminar.
Minimal fee of One Thousand Three Hundred (P 1,300.00) Pesos only will be assessed to cover the cost of meals, honorarium of speakers, plane fare and other incidental expenses. REINSTATEMENT PROGRAM
Greetings!The PICPA National Board during its Board Meeting held on August 21, 2010, approved a Reinstatement Program for members who failed to pay their membership dues in the past and who wish to become members in good standing. Under the said program, arrearages shall be waived upon a one-time payment of ONE THOUSAND PESOS (P 1,000.00) ONLY covering the dues of FY 2010-2011 (current dues). Since our Chapter is charging local dues of P100.00, therefore, the total payment is P 1,100.00.

SEPTEMBER MEMBERSHIP MEETING

2010 Accountancy Week

The Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Cebu Chapter in coordination with the Cebu Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (CF-JPIA) will be celebrating its Annual Accountancy Week this coming July 18, 2010 to July 24, 2010.

The Grand Opening Ceremonies will be held at the USC Gymnasium on July 18, 2010 (Sunday) starting off with a motorcade from Cebu Business Park towards the said venue, a holy mass will be celebrated at 8:00 a.m. and a Dance Palabas to be participated in by eleven schools, namely: CIT, CRMC, STC, SWU, UC-LM, UC-Main, UC-Banilad, USC, USJ-R, and USP-F. Among the activities lined-up for the week are the Dance Palabas, Interschool Quiz Bowl, PICPA Fun Golf, Dialogue with the Academe, Seminar on Tax Updates, Talents Day, and JPIA Idol. As a culminating activity, the PICPAns will enjoy a night of fellowship and fun during the Annual Dinner with Past Presidents to be held on July 24, 2010 (Saturday). To provide practitioners the opportunity to earn the units required for the renewal of their PRC/BOA accreditation, PICPA Eastern Visayas Region and PICPA Cebu Chapter will again deliver the CPE on the Road (EVR Version). Part 4 of the series will be held on December 9, 10, 11 and 12 ,2009, at the Sacred Heart Center, D. Jakosalem St. Cebu City .
Participants will earn 30 cpe units for the 4 day activity, which is more than what is required for the last part of 15 units. We decided to add more days because of the clamor of some participants to offer sessions for ETHICS, PFRSs and PSAs which they failed to attend in the previous runs.
