Message from the President
As we start a new fiscal year we can’t help but think what are in store for us in the coming months. There will be lots of expectations as to what could be done to fully attain the objectives of the organization. While some members may be enthusiastic, there might also be those who are quite skeptic and may be asking the question: “is there something new that we could be excited about?”
I must admit, and probably everyone agrees, that assuming the Presidency is no easy task and this is something that scares me. Certainly, I cannot please everyone but one big challenge that me and the current officers are facing is how to “revitalize PICPA-Cebu”. This may sound too ambitious but if we don’t think this way, we may be waiting for something to happen instead of making things happen.
A major key result area (KRA) that we would like to pursue this year is Member’s Satisfaction. Along with this, we will be coming up with programs and projects that will benefit the members no matter what field of practice they are in. The board is still finalizing the programs for the year and once done, these will be properly communicated to you.
Adopting an old adage we often times hear “Ask not what PICPA can do for you but what you can do for PICPA”. This might be overused and abused, but this could be ideal mindset of all members. However, I would like everyone to think on what would you like PICPA to do for you and communicate this to us. With this information, we will know what are you expecting and perhaps we can align our plans and programs to what the general membership needs.
Noe G. Quiñanola
PICPA-Cebu President
